Because wouldn’t we all like to meet a boy who looks like Elvis? The music of Counting Crows, but cover-ized. Covers of some of the biggest hits, some of their deeper cuts, and and some great reinterpretations by the band. Right here! Round here!

Love the Counting Crows and absolutely loved Natalie Walker's version of Colorblind!
Thanks for including Allison (Crowe) – who is an huge lover of the band.
Now, her cover of "A Murder of One", is really one of my all-time fave recordings by Allison: http://music.allisoncrowe.com/track/a-murder-of-o…
Best wishes of the season to all! thanks again for the CC Cover Story 🙂
That's a great version of Mr Jones! Maybe for the extra show, but there is also a great (if long) live cover out there of Springsteen's "Thunder Road" that weaves in and out of "Rain King" just perfectly – so sort of half a cover!
Great show. You missed their version of the Psychedelic Fur's "Ghost in Me".
I'd also like to point out that the way that they like to completely change their older songs when they play live it feels like they are covering themselves. You could have put any song from their Across a Wire album and I don't think anyone would have complained.
RE: "You missed their version of the Psychedelic Fur's "Ghost in Me"."
Not so much missed, as decided not to play again on the show. I've aired it at least twice before, and thought I'd better not wear that one to the ground!
This one was a great show. Nicely done Brian.
The Himalayans actually opened for one of my brother's bands back in the day in the bay area so it was cool to get to hear one of their "original" versions.
Brian,
In response to your feedback request, I really like the cover stories of bands I like. I wouldn't say the Counting Crows are my favourite band ever, but it's definitely a group I have listened too since 94 and enjoy greatly. Really like the Bayside cover of A Long December and will likely get a copy of Dead and Dreaming.
As always, keep up the great work!
I usually love the cover stories, but this one made me realize how much I don’t like the Counting Crows. None of the covers did much to change my mind. Great attempt tho! I will always love coverville, just not a Counting Crows fan. Thanks for all you do!
