Is it just me or is the audio in the left channel lower than the right channel? I pulled out, and replugged in, my headphones but it still sounds “off” to me. Additionally, playback of a different podcast sounded balanced.
Cheers,

@Paulie: I noticed that too. I thought it was just my speakers. Also, it sounds very tin-y.
Eight covers of “Love Will Tear Us Apart”? Is there something you need to tell us, Brian? That’s a red flag, like listening to the Magnolia soundtrack on repeat all day.
You missed one of my favorite covers of it, though: “Dub Will Tear Us Apart”, by Jah Division, which was a semi-joke project that produced one limited-edition EP. You can listen to all four songs at

Cool, this has been like Lyrics Undercover on steroids. Of course, now I REALLY can’t get it out of my head but I enjoyed this episode a lot.
Loved this episode – it’s a favourite song, so I didn’t mind hearing it eight times (well, the Albert Kuvezin version was a little hard on the ears). In fact, I had to go looking for my Fall Out Boy version so I could hear it some more. (Not a Fall Out Boy fan, but I do like their cover.)
I really wanted to hear The Cure’s take on the song. I was a little disappointed – they could have done more with it.
In reference to the balancing issue, I noticed that too, at first, but it seemed to get better after the first couple of minutes.
I think that the versions just weren’t diverse enough for my ears, especially in the first half. There may be songs one can pull an 8-pack off, but I’m not sure this is the one…
That episode really should not have been released with such poor audio. It deserves a reposting or rerecording.
I’m checking the source files to see what I can do – look for a repost of this episode early this afternoon.
