Regarding book soundtracks, L. Ron Hubbard composed and recorded a soundtrack for his book Battlefield Earth. It was horrible, as one might expect.
This Magic Moment by Lou Reed first appeared on the 1995 album Till the Night Is Gone: Tribute to Doc Pomus, before it was on the soundtrack to 1997 film Lost Highway.
UNFORTUNATELY, Till the Night seems to be out of print. I have it. Brian, do you? If you do a Pomus tribute, you MUST pick a song from there!
