It’s pretty much impossible to do a bad cover of S&G. Not a damn thing wrong with Paul Simon.
Yup, though I wouldn’t have picked Kodachrome for this show. While it WAS performed by S&G in Central Park, it was a Paul Simon solo song before that.
BTW, the 1st appearance of that version of Bye Bye Love by S&G was on the tremendous Bridge over Troubled Water album.
Excellent show, my how time do fly, from young kids at the beginning of the baby boom to senior citizens. They had a good ride and they are proof that there is a reward for perseverance, hard work and following your passion. They do nice work. Always enjoy Emiliana, another excellent show, 912 …talk about perseverance!
Maybe for the bonus tracks Brian, but you know Elvis (Presley) did an amazing Bridge Over Troubled Water cover. It’s on his Masters boxset. Would be great to hear this on Coverville.
Thinking of S & G reminded me of this little video of a couple of fantastic buskers who have been playing for at least 25 years near where I was born. The Beatles is their speciality, but, as you can see here (at 3.20 on the video if you want to skip the Beatles), they also do a mean S & G cover.
Love this guys voice – noticed he just released an album of original acoustic songs on itunes (Jimmy Kemp)…
